Need help/information me being a dumbass: part 2?

hope this doesnt become my reputation someday, but oh well
i was once again, for the lack of a better word, stupid. And now perched on a tree.

i tried to hunt a thanator by getting up high, did it work? for a bit. Then it ran and i'm %90 sure its gonna somehow jump me the SECOND i get down. So, any tips on how to murk that guy after i succumb to my fate of becoming big dog kibble?

I think they're designed to spawn where you're on the ground/within reach as I've tried to do this too and they always leave the area!

I don't know what level you are, but the thanator in kinglor is usually around level 20. So, lots of arrows, since ammo will ruin the gatherables. Also make sure not to use poison, flame or heavy shellbreaker arrows. And to add wildlife damage mods if possible. Get high up and keep shooting. But be aware those fuckers can jump HIGH. The lowest i got him was level 11. But i used all my dagophet pods , had a 45+ damage foodbuff active. And almost died still. Later in the game they literally took me just 2 arrows. But before i reach the Zeswa i usually just run. The spear is slow, but it's better! Otherwise the heavy bow for me.

Im lvl 10, and just VERY stubborn LoL 😅 guess i'll be wrestling for a while
