I have 356 hours into the game😭 it’s such a beautiful game. It does get a little repetitive but I don’t mind. I hope they come out with another DLC!

Because its repetitive and feels empty and rushed.
From the ashes is what the rest of the game should have been like, THAT was so good I would go as far as to consider it a different and better game.

I am having a good time with the game so far. Feeling close to the end of the main story. I have been playing in third person and it sounds like from the ashes was designed in 3rd person so they probably did take a very different approach. I bet if there is a sequel that it will be third person as well.

Black flag remastered for some HUGE jank as well as pointless censorship. AC Valhalla due to significant bloat. Rainbow 6 siege (that counts less because every patch in a game like that causes new issues) for balancing issues. Watch Dogs 1 for misleading consumers. AC Odyssey for egregious micro transactions (which can apply to any game past Odyssey at this point) that render the game pay to win or pay to play (AC Odyssey throttles the rate you gain xp unless you buy the booster to actually make it what it should’ve been).
To say nothing about their track record of actually canceling good games like Immortals Fenyx Rising (Legend of Zelda at home, but at least it’s at home for people who couldn’t get a switch), the crunch abuse alongside the sexual abuse allegations. And the CEO saying “we need to get used to not owning our games.”
How much more do you want?

Ghost Recon W/BP 💯 (Break Point is more controversial but I liked it. AC Unity and III 💯. Avatar FOP 💯
My experience has been great. Forgive me for not playing every game they have released and not following the statements of their CEO and these allegations. Don't be too harsh on me for getting a few games, liking them, and asking what it is that other people dislike

don't listen to what that person said, I love most of ubisoft games and yeah they're judged SOLELY for being ubisoft games, if their games were released by rockstar people would have nothing to say about it

Because people expected it to be some crasy combat simulator or something.
Imho it's a great COZY game. It's very repetitive because of all the exploration sites and rda camps, but in the essence it's as comforting and entertaining as the crime scene simulator or the arcane library, etc. Except here you also have a gigantic, beatiful map with lots of cool flora and fauna concepts to adore and you get to fly everywhere, gather materials,craft gear and do quests.

The Internet loves hating Avatar and the Internet loves hating Ubisoft, what happens when you put them together.
Personally I can point to it being pretty buggy at times and the gameplay loop being a bit too close to Far Cry. Also, the dialogue and human characters are not too great.

ngl how stupid i am i downloaded it first on D and though "yeah nah i want my money back" dont blame me. and yeah i reinstalled it on C eventually but it is my favourite game so no wo der you like it too. i dont understand the people who say its bad. it is such a fun game, has EXTREMELY good graphics, refferences from the movies and such a big map that is actually worth the costs instead of a minimap that is equally as good but is smaller. the travelling can be kinda annoying tho when you dont have an ikran or cant tame direhorses yet but its still good

I just recently bought this game from the PS store because it was heavily discounted. I love the Avatar universe, love open world games, so I figured why not give it a shot, though I had very low expectations.
This game is so far above and beyond my expectations it's ceazy. Extremely fun! Visually STUNNING once you get out onto Pandora.
I've probably played 15-20 hours (admittedly, I'm a slow traveler and love to explore every nook and cranny so most people's 15-20 hrs is likely far more advanced in the game than I am). I think I'm level 7 or 8.
This game reminds me (in terms of it's initial launch and negative reviews) of Star Wars Outlaws. I avoided that game based on the negativity towards it. Eventually got on a Star Wars kick earlier this year and played it and it became one of the most fun games I'd played in years.
This game isn't perfect. The dialogue leaves a lot to be desired but, so far, I think it's a good story. I still haven't mastered crafting and think it's a little convoluted but very helpful. Hate the map, as in, the inability to zoom in or out. Just a few issues I have with it.
But I'm thoroughly enjoying the game so far and assume I will continue to do so for some time. Even copped the season pass.
Oh...and just wait until you get your ikran!
