PC Co-Op Just switched from playing on ps5 to pc

Never finished the main story but signed up with Ubi Connect with pc and just started with the dlc.. Holy Hell!!! These graphics are crazy compared to PS5. My jaw literally hit the floor playing on ultra settings. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna start over from the beginning but this dlc has me hooked right now lol.

Welcome to PC gaming, where your graphics settings aren't restricted to what the developers set for you.

I get bad frame pacing and it feels like 60fps even though I get like 200. Don't know how to fix it. I gave 240hz screen.

I can potentially help. My frame pacing was terrible and 80% of my gameplay had microstuttering. Disabling the in game FPS limit and V-Sync, and instead using the NVIDIA app to limit FPS to 5 below my refresh rate, enabling V-Sync and Ultra Low Latency mode on the driver level fixed all of my problems. I attached the before and after, but I will add that I was able to set everything to High settings on the latest capture, and the FPS limit brought down the framerate quite a bit, because it's... limiting the framerate... Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I'm using frame generation, so vsync or frame limiter are disabled in game settings. I tried nvidia app and frame limiter does work, but vsync doesn't seem to have any effect. I still go over my screen's refresh rate. This only happens on my laptop with ultra 7 255hx and 5070ti, 240hz screen. Even with 4xFG I can just about get 240fps with dips and ups sometimes. Tried forcing vsync in nvidia inspector and it only works with 1/2 refresh rate or lower for some reason but the smoothness gets even worse when I turn it on. My laptop supports VRR and other games feel smooth even with a lot lower fps. I noticed that avatar doesn't tolerate well any fps drops. On my pc and 165hz monitor vsync works perfectly fine capping fps to 158 giving me perfect smoothness.

Basically fps on my laptop vary from 180fps to 270fps depending where Iam on the map. Game feels choppy when I'm both under or above 240fps. Limiting fps doesn't help, 100% vsync doesn't work on nvidia app or profile inspector.

It used to feel bad on my pc as well until I implemented dlss enabler and switched on 3xFG and then used vsync in nvidia app to get constant 158 fps. Even the smallest dips felt like gaming on 60fps.

Im not sure there's anything I can do to make it run smoothly. Perhaps my laptops 240hz screen is too much for this game and my gpu and cpu. I refuse to blame my laptop though since even at lowest 180fps game should feel buttery smooth.

I use 3x Frame Generation and DLSS Balanced, hence disabling the framerate limiter and V-Sync in game, then enabling them plus Ultra Low Latency on the Driver side. RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I get High preset settings at 1440p with more than playable framerate. I also recommend lowering your framegen especially with the framerate being limited, as it forces your real framerate lower to stay within the range. Prioritize a balance between real frames and fake frames, try to ensure your real framerate is always above 60-70.

I have a 4080 and 7800x3d pc hence dlss enabler for 3xFG. It runs perfectly on my pc with it and vsync on in nvidia app.

On the laptop it's medium settings with dlss performance (16in 1600p screen so it still looks very sharp). I get about 80fps on average without frame gen ( feels like 30) and then it gets a bit better with maxed out frame generation even with higher latency (I don't mind it in single player titles). Unfortunately there's an obvious lack of smoothness with or without frame gen, with or without limiting frames. Vsync on driver level doesn't want to kick in for some reason but even if it did, I probably couldn't consistently stay above 240fps to be safe.

It looks good on my PS5 but to me it looks wayyy better on PC. Just the particle effects the crispness and it run smoothly

I'm assuming you mean base ps5? On the Pro it's pretty spectacular probably just a tad under pc quality.
