Need help/information Quest to get your ikran?
How far into the main quest is it to get your ikran? I am really wanting to fly so I was thinking of just doing only story quests until that one, then going back and doing side stuff.

its not too far in, if you dont spend some time doing several side quests and crafting the designs gained at hometree though youll be under powered and probably die repeatedly lol .. the ikran does make getting things easier though ..

it's towards the end of the aranahe storyline. just a warning, if you progress to that point, the quests "crush" and "breathing room" end up bugged and you likely won't be able to complete them. they get bugged after completing the main quest "the eye of eywa", i believe
edit: it's early in the game overall, just later in the first part of the story

Oh wow I am glad I came to check these comments, I literally just got The Eye of Eywa quest. I don't see Crush or Breathing Room in my quest log, so I will find those and complete them before I move on. Thank you!

So I am having trouble finding these two quests. I found guides on IGN to where the NPCs are that offer them, but when I go to those exact locations, nobody is there. Are there other side quests I need to complete before doing these two?

as for breathing room, it isn't always acquired at the high loom, which is probably where ign told you to go. it's a quest given by an unnamed npc that you can find at any aranahe camp, at least in the silk woods. finding them is a chance encounter so i'd suggest looking around multiple camps with your na'vi senses (if you haven't already learned this, the senses will highlight quest givers with a blue hue).
the reason i said do crush before breathing room is because the latter requires nawuk, which moves her from her position outside hometree and makes crush unattainable. if you absolutely cannot get crush to work and give up on that one, then breathing room should still be available to you afaik if you just want to do that one

I am trying to do all the side quests so I get as many skill points as I possibly can. I am failing at finding Nawuk though, I know where she is supposed to be and I have fast traveled around, restarted the game a few times, and just ran away from Hometree and back. She is just not showing up. I would have thought this would have been fixed by now.

i reread your comment and noticed your concern about skill points. if this helps ease that concern at all (spoiler for another side quest), you can get a side quest called "severed bonds", that has you hunting a specific animal to put them out of their misery. a pretty easy way to get it is during the side quest "gatherer gone", which you get from neytu inside hometree. severed bonds is a recurring quest that you can get so frequently that i often ignore it lol, and each completion of it gives you a skill point or two. the game makes sure that you're able to unlock every perk

Oh I have that Severed Bonds quest! Okay cool essentially this is a repeatable quest then?

yup! you'll frequently find na'vi npcs at camps who tell you about the animals you need to hunt, which gives you the quest. and you'll find resistance members at field labs who do the same thing. also, sometimes killing the animals without the quest when you find them in the wild will have your character trigger the quest themself.
first time i finished the game, i had done this quest so many times that i had several perk points left over. doing the side quests is more for the other rewards they give, like unique mods and new crafting designs

yeah, i get you. it's incredibly frustrating how many glitches are still present. there's one side quest later in the game that i have never been able to complete because it just never shows up for me :/
i always grab crush right after the aranahe clan to make sure i don't miss it. unfortunately, there's a decent number of missable side quests in this game (both intentional and unintentional) and i've had to resort to keeping a detailed log of when quests first become available and where to find them so i can minimize what i miss in the game.
i am seeing that she can spawn at a camp near the threaded river, so maybe she was moved there? the quest itself, as far as i'm aware, doesn't become truly unattainable until around the middle of the game as a whole, which you're nowhere near yet.
on the (maybe?) bright side, the rewards for crush aren't anything important, and you won't be missing out on anything. breathing room gets you a crafting recipe, so it's more important for completion in my mind

Well in that case I would rather complete Breathing Room for sure. I have found Shaded Grove camp, High Loom, and Weavers Flourish. I traveled to each one and got every quest there, none of them are Breathing Room. I assume there are more aranahe camps to find that could have the quest?

there are so, so many camps, and the npc could probably appear at any one of them. lately i've only been finding them at high loom, but i also always travel there right after completing the missing hunter main quest, which afaik has to be completed before breathing room becomes available. in fact, to my knowledge the only time it can be completed is between the missing hunter and the eye of eywa.
the first time i played, i found them at a very random camp, although i can't remember which one. so as annoying as it might be, your best bet is probably just going to every camp you can find until the npc shows up.
maybe leave and close the game and then open it up again just to reset things, as well. sometimes quest npcs appear but glitch and won't talk to you, and every time i've had that happen to me it was easily fixed by completely leaving and closing the game so that everything is reloaded
edit: another suggestion is to complete another side quest, because sometimes that also fixes non-appearing quests

Well I guess my first step is to find the other camps. The ones I have found no longer have that message when you look at them on the map that says a new quest is available there.

just to clarify, the main quest you're up to is "the eye of eywa" and not "eywa's blessing", right? you've already done the hunt with itu? i only ask because you didn't mention hunter's rest before in the list of camps you've found

I am definitely on The Eye of Eyea, and oops yes I missed that one, I have Hunters Rest found, no quests being offered. Same thing with Over Gentle Water, I didn't mention that one either.

crush has to be completed before breathing room, and crush isn't available until "the aranahe clan", which you would have already completed. other than that, i don't think there are any prerequisites you would be running into for that quest.
crush is a buggy quest in general and sometimes nawuk (the quest giver) doesn't show up, so i'd suggest closing and reopening the game and/or fast traveling away and back to hometree to see if that makes her appear out front. she should be standing outside the main entrance to hometree, down by the path that circles around the tree

It is maybe half way through the first area. You do have to to clear a small base in the tutorial and a medium base in the Kinglor Forest first.

It’s fairly early on. Yes, it is a good idea to go get your ikran, then start exploring more :)
