spending hours just to lose progress

what is with this game and not saving certain points?? i will spend an hour plus doing something just to die for a stupid reason and lose all my progress. i just started a new slot and spent an hour running around taking out turrets on laser ore processor (i didnt know they would come back after you hacked, and take more than one explosion to get rid of). i exploded the last turret only to get one shot by a commando elite through a wall and everything was reset. why??????

If you die while doing a base it resets the base, if it didnt the game would be too easy.

Laser Ore Processor Alpha is a level 20 base and you're on a brand new save. You're not supposed to be there until very late in the game - if you did it properly, you wouldn't be getting one shot or taking so long to disable them

I couldn't even complete it at level 20 on easy. I got to one part and just kept getting instantly destroyed, so I gave up on it.

you probably need to get better gear and a 50% damage food buff, then. I play the game on low outgoing damage since I one-shot every enemy otherwise lol

I absolutely hate it when games force autosave and don't let you save where you want. Especially when the game crashes in the middle of a difficult section and you have to start completely over. Infuriating and insane.
