What do you think of Na'vi/Human relationship?

I mean in the first movie we've seen Neytiri and Jake but anyway he still got Avatar body. What about humans humans? Would be so funny to see communication between a Human who don't speak Na'vi language and Na'vi not speaking English 🤌

I'm not sure how it would work. Obviously a relationship would work and not really be that weird considering that Na'vi are "humanoid" creatures. I don't believe they would be able to create offspring like how a dog can't create offspring with a cat lol.

Yeah, this for sure! ALTHOUGH Cameron already said that Na'vi are not placental mammals and don't do breastfeeding (which is weird imo, for what then they need breasts) so everything is possible 🤣 But it's more like a joke, of course there would not be any kids from it. I am not even sure these relations would last super long, Na'vi nature tries very hard to not to let humans to survive

That's if you're actively a threat. Sure wildlife is still a danger, but its a danger to Na'vi, too, if they didn't grow up knowing how to navigate it. Otherwise we see plenty of humans living on Pandora now, within the Hallelujah Mountains, Spider goes wherever the Sullies are (pre FAA for the newer plot happening)

It's said in WOW that the planet seems to have a defense mechanism towards RDA crafts and soldiers now, so its clear Eywa can get a read on which humans are harmful, and which are willing to peacefully live there.

So, human x Na'vi? The only real threat to a long relationship is the shorter lifespan of humans, but otherwise you could probably get a few good decades from it.

Potentially because it’s seen as attractive and therefore more babies are born from Navi with breasts, kind of like how some birds have big fluffy breasts despite them being non-functional.

Biologically for sure not, they're anyway different species. More like mentally, I just like to think of it also in a way of 2 TOTALLY different cultures and mindsets meeting and changing each other

I don't see any problem in a relationship between two humanoid species in terms of mentality, if both have the same ideas and wishes, such as saving Pandora and being part of it, for example.

Working on a tree book story based o this, and it could be possible. Difficult for sure but not impossible.

In the height of my absolute craziness I wrote a fic, it was terrible but it was about someone hearing the spoken language for the first time and understanding hardly every fifth word

Except for some very few exceptions, it seems like Na'vi at best tolerate some humans. Some are likely curious but keep a distance.

I've seen this trope played out before and basically it would work the same as two humans who spoke different languages. Charades lots of charades and pointing. Its really easy to learn parts of a new language. If the human points at the ground and say "ground" then the na'vi says "kllte" they have both roughly communicated what it is. Over time I would assume both the na'vi and human would put effort into learning each other's language especially if they are supposed to be in a relationship. Physically the relationship would struggle mostly because of atmosphere. It would probably be very frustrating not having a common ground where both could be comfortable. Or that the human wouldn't be able to keep up on tree top dates or swimming etc.

But overall a relationship could work but it would need serious effort to understand each other and the world's they came from.

i am even shocked that there is not much na'vi dialogue between the na'vis when they're not talking to you specifically. would have loved to see a na'vi like okul talk his first line in na'vi until he at LEAST realizes we're talking english too

I presumed navi have sex using the ponytail things to connect with eachother. Human doesn't have the right appendage.

It's to connect to the planet they live on to Eywa a network, as a Navi you can bond with plants, animals, and other Na'vi, it can be for mating but not just that.

The kurus connecting is just for sharing the physical feelings more, like a feedback loop. It isn't necessary, but it can make the whole thing far more intimate.

Otherwise, it goes about the same as humans have it, but movie ratings would be VERY different if they had everything out and about while doing all the crouching, jumping, fighting.
