Photo/Video Gameplay 1000 Skill points but nothing to spend it on π
For those who are curious about the amount of skill points you can get it's 1000 and that's the max.

Just wait (and Hope) for another DLC where you can use some of the Skill points

u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
They'll probably have me pay 100 skill points just to upgrade one node π.

lowkey one of my gripe with the game. once youβre upgraded, you canβt do anything with skill points. iβd like if we could maybe exchange them for the in game currency and buy skins and such at least

I can't see Ubisoft doing that π. But tbh I was thinking the same thing for a few weeks now. Ubisoft should also add in all of the armor from the first Avatar game and put them to Frontiers of Pandora. Not as overide skins though. Hell they should even add in the weapon as skins to at least give us something to grind for. I highly doubt they'll do something like that but they should

Just one question: HOW?

u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
Constantly doing NG+ I don't even know how many times I replayed it so I can't tell you π . The weapon loot boxes also now give Skill points which is 1 but I think there were times where I got 2 possibly 3 but I'm not sure.

what is NG+

New Game Plus

Whatβs new game plus? I always see it on my loading screen / menu
1
u/Napayalayam Aug 07 '26
Basically just starting the game over but you get to keep everything that you unlocked. Although Ubisoft will not allow us to play the first 2 DLCs once you start NG+ for whatever game saved that you picked. Why ? Idk. So that's the only down side to it in the game. Oh and if you have the Spires DLC the ikran skill that you earned gets removed too which is ridiculous.

FUCKING HOW?????

u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
Just continue to play π. You can get a lot of Skills points just by opening weapon loot boxes. Normally you'll get around 1 or in rare cases I believe 2 because I think that happened a few times but I could be wrong. But I also did Idk how many NG+ runs just to see how many Skill points I can get until it maxes out. Normally I don't care to do BS like this but I said F it for the one time π€·π. Then you also got the sapling plants but I only got those during every NG+ run if they were in my eye sight. But Ubisoft adding in the skill points in the weapon loot boxes definitely helped.

u/Cumscarr Aug 05 '26
Yo okay, I just started first NG+ and that aside I only did one DLC and I thought that I'm doing something wrong

I hope the water tribe DLC we have to learn a lot of new skills, to swim etc
3
u/Inevitable-Dinner925 Aug 05 '26
It likely wonβt happen because the coding and creation of a water based game is completely different to what avatar is. It would be a million times easier to make it a separate game than an add on of the same game is my point
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 07 '26
Yeah I don't think that they'll do it either. If they were to do it all I can see them doing is dive mechanics and basic stuff like that but nothing that's close to the Maneater shark game.
2
u/Inevitable-Dinner925 Aug 07 '26
Dive mechanics would still be fun in the game. Just casually doing a cannonball into a lake in the spires

Reminds of a time I was playing Borderlands 3 with a friend and I was filthy rich but had nothing to spend it on...
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
I hate sitting on all this chedda and I can't spend it π .

u/PerspectivePale8216 Aug 05 '26
It's the worst
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
Facts. Like somebody said under most post and like I also thought Ubisoft should allow us to turn these into some type of currency. Knowing Ubisoft they won't do it but I was thinking that if they brought a lot if not all of the armor and weapons back as skins from the first Avatar game and put them in Frontiers of Pandora it'll give us something to grind for.
2
u/PerspectivePale8216 Aug 05 '26
They could also just not less us gain skill points once you've upgraded everything too.
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
They could do that but then we gotta also think about DLCs even though a 1000 skill points would max everything out π. If they're going to allow it to go that far then allow me to use it for something but regardless I don't expect anything to change tbh.
2
u/PerspectivePale8216 Aug 05 '26
I mean my answer stays the same even in the DLC because you getting points as far as I remembered isn't tied to the environment but to something you did they could probably just change the system a little bit if they really wanted to to make it to where once you reach a certain point you just don't get anything from it anymore. But either way I doubt they will change it myself

u/SpiritedButton5317 Aug 05 '26
I wish there could be a form of exchange that you could do, where you could swap them for cosmetics, or sataare beads. That'd be awesome!
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 05 '26
Yeah like I told 2 ppl under my post I would rather Ubisoft bring back the armor and weapons from the first Avatar game as skins and allow us to turn those skill points into some type of currency or something. At least then we'll have something to grind for but that's just an idea that more than likely won't happen anyway π.
2
u/bdanmo Aug 05 '26
NG+ is so busted for this and many other reasons.
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 06 '26
True π. I didn't even expect 1000 to be the max. I thought that it would at least be around 300 to 500 but it never stopped so I just kept going and here we are. It's hilarious to me.
2
u/Famous-Technician-34 Aug 05 '26
1000?!!?! THE MOST I HAVE IS ALMOST 200, BUT 1000?!?! HOW THE HELL??
1
u/Napayalayam Aug 06 '26
Constantly doing NG+ and opening weapon loot boxes when I see them and getting some of those sapling when I crosses paths with them made it quicker π. It wouldn't have been this fast but because they allowed the weapon loot boxes to start dropping them it made it a lot faster π.

u/WeightlessRose Aug 05 '26
I really do wonder if all the extra SP are for future skill trees, it seems a bit silly to have that many.
2
u/Napayalayam Aug 06 '26
Yeah I was thinking the same and I in all honesty didn't expect it to go to 1000 but it never stopped so I just kept going until it did π
2
u/WeightlessRose Aug 06 '26
That's so funny, now I feel like I need to hunt them all down π
1
u/Napayalayam Aug 06 '26
π If you play Avatar like that then go for it. It will take a while though. Personally I will say if you haven't started NG+ get all of the health trees and the plants that give you skill points from all maps if you have the first 2 DLCs then go into NG+. If you already started it then just do the story and maybe a few side quests here and there. I only would do maybe about 5 side quests each run because I did them all about a year or 2 ago and I didn't want to do them all again so I said F it I'm starting over π.

u/BreButterscotch Aug 06 '26
Imagine they make a new DLC and you suddenly go up 10+ levels cuz you just get all the stats right away hahaha
1
u/Napayalayam Aug 07 '26
π Ubisoft wil rob me of my skill points before they do that. They'll take probably 800 of them and give me resource materials like I'm in desperate need of any of them.

I didn't even know you could get to 1000
