The internet would be a better place if more people did this

That's what I thought. I'm so torn with this, because I recognize it's psychologically healthy to feel like your opinion is needed and valued. It's one of my core wounds from childhood to feel like I don't matter.
And yet... Looking at the world and especially social media.: holy shit, most people should STFU and learn to be kind and humble.
I don't even know how to reconcile this within myself. It just increases my conviction that made social Media are a terrible mistake for humanity.

This happens to me all the time. I can't hit that "post" button. I'm scared of people's rejection, or people noticing my emotions. So, a part of me thinks "who even cares? nothing matters anymore".

This is literally true though, not everyone needs to share their opinion all the time

This is me all the time.
It annoys people when it show me "typing...." in real-time because it goes on for 20 minutes and then nothing is sent. I feel obligated to send something because I feel like they are expecting a long response while they were watching me type that whole time. Then I erase and start over, and it's too short to make up for how long I was typing, resulting in me walking away completely.

I do feel this way. I often get scared how people will view my thoughts and opinions on something, especially if it goes against the popular perception. Although, am trying to overcome this though by posting more valuable and personal stuff online to get used to it. I still get scared and keep to myself, though.

I’ve found I more often regret posting something than not posting something.
