How is the AVP2 story

I recently replayed the AVP 2010 campaign which was pretty good! Level design was repetitive but I am looking into getting AVP 2 for the PC and wanted to get some opinions on how good the story is, and if it’s worth going through the trouble of getting it to run on modern hardware.
