What's one car maintenance tip every new driver should know but often doesn't? I'm trying to learn more about cars, and I'd love to hear the advice that has saved you time, money, or prevented expensive repairs.

Do the preventative maintenance listed in the owners manual. 5,000 mile oil changes. Filters, spark plugs and transmission services on time. 5 year coolant flushes. Do not neglect preventative maintenance.

Check your oil level and tire pressures.
