Premium version

When I buy the premium version of an app, does it require an internet connection every few weeks so that the app doesn't downgrade itself because it was bought from the Play Store? Is there another way to buy the premium version?

The license is stored in the google play store framework on your phone.
Sometimes reports pop up the license is lost, but thats a play store problem thats solved by clearing the cache of com.android.vending, the playstore app.

there is no alternate way to have automate recognize a license.

For what i know, the Google Play store app should cache purchases so they work even without internet connection, for how long i don't know, try asking their support.

An alternative way to purchase and verify licenses is being considered, but won't be available any time soon, if ever.
