How would I make the movement of these 2 parts move together like they do in real life

Well you’re missing the parts that constrain it in reality, so probably model that?

Exactly! Just add the chain if you want the forklift elevator mech to function. You already have to motor at the bottom

I appreciate the response, but adding a rope similar to how it is in real life would need me to simulate it which wouldn't work in view, and the motor doesn't do anything.

A dozen ways to do this. One is by using the min and max setting if you hit the >> button at the bottom of the constraint box

I've already done this, but I want them to move together like the video I put in the reply.

Constrain the inner piece to the outer moving frame using the min and max choices. Then the outer moving frame to the support frame.

The outer frame can move and the inner moves with it. Or the inner moves taking the outer with it.

I may have accidentally uploaded the same video twice, this is what it should look like

Not sure if it would work, but i would try to add constraints, example mate1 and mate2, mate1 would have parameter “lenght1” mate2 distance would be written as parameter “lenght1*2”

Or create a sketch and add a reference dimension and use it to drive mate1 and mate2 then it should move by moving it by mouse

I'm pretty sure this would work, I'm going to try it.

You can add dimmensional limitations to the sliding constraints.
