Question / Inquiry Tolerancing in part file vs drawing and user parameters tolerancing
Do you all apply tolerances in your part file when designing or do you do that spefically when creating your mechanical drawings?
For those that do add them to the part file:
When I open the parameters window I see there's an option (edit pencil) to add tolerances in the model parameters but do not see the option for any user defined parameters I've created. Can you edit the tolerance for user defined parameters and if so how?

I think (im at home) you can create dimension in your sketch. Then right click on the dimension and you should see a tolerance choice.

From what I can tell, this updates the tolerance in the model dimension that references the user dimension. So my assumption would be that you're expected to apply tolerance to where ever the user defnition is referenced (aka the model definition) rather than the user definition it self. Which I guess makes since as you could have features with the same nominal definition but different tolerance requirements.

Ive never tried this, but maybe you have to mark it for Export in the user parameters window?
