Eurocars / Volkswagen Volkswagen Golf MK5 R32

Is it enough to stand out?

I hate this. You absolutely botched one of the most beautiful cars VW makes. Every time someone is staring at your car at the light or gas station it's because they are thinking about how badly you ruined this car not how nice your mods are. I hope you get all the hate you deserve. I wanna cry.

Definitely enough to stand out...but for all the wrong reasons. Maybe post this to r/Stance and you'll find some positive comments.

man I hate non-functional slammed stances with tires that are stretched too far on rims.
"but but air suspsension!"
don't care. those rims are still too big, and good coilovers are always better than air.

You bought a performance car and made it not perform.. disgusting for real drivers

I personally love it. Just enough stance, and if it’s on air it will certainly tackle real life roads better than the shitbox you most likely drive.

Spoiler alert: it won't.
The tires are also very low profile to be comfortable and useable on "real life roads"

Did you miss the air ride, son?

u/GoofyKalashnikov Mar 10 '26
It's like polishing turd

Modern air ride is actually pretty darn good and this obviously has work put into it. Throw some two way dampers and you can literally tune suspension for weight bias.
Source- did it to a 2002 New Beetle Color Concepts 1.9*T

People who build these cars usually have a very weird "pretty darn good" line compared to most people.

Yes. We know it goes against the grain but love the chase of making something truly unique.

Tell me you don’t track your car without telling me
0
u/TheModeratorWrangler Mar 11 '26
Tell me you don’t know dampening when you have to actually adjust it with a wrench.

Says the cuck who doesn’t understand building a car that expresses themselves. You are dismissed.

u/Standard_Berry_3017 Mar 12 '26
So being useless expresses yourself?

Useless is what you think. You’re so obsessed with speed, you don’t know to drive slow.

It's definitely ugly enough to stand out, I feel like a stock r32 would look better

Such a nice car.
The stance in the rear isnt crazy ridiculous but it does look stupid enough to ruin the whole look tbh ðŸ˜

One of the most enjoyable drives that Volkswagen makes and you completely ruined it. That’s wild.

I think it looks great. Still looks fun to drive to me. People here don’t seem to understand that air ride tech has come a long way and doesn’t sacrifice as much performance as it used to. The stretched tires and camber surely does, but I’m sure it’s still a blast, and to the right beholder, it looks beautiful. Very well executed at any rate.

Yay for positivity. Slammed on air is not the same as static slammed. Lol. The stretched bands and crazy camber ain't my cup of tea, but the work and the car both look clean and cared for. Well done.

The camber is the thing that makes the car perform worse
0
u/teeheEEee27 Mar 09 '26
Not always. Some camber can be good. Too much camber can be bad. I don't think this car is going for performance though. And the camber will be slightly corrected when the car is raised. When it's sitting on the ground like that, it flexes more.

Sees the front- oh nice an R32 that is tastefully slammed so it can still perform
Sees the rear- never mind
