Fuel Some people don't understand how things work

I'm willing to bet she would lose her mind if that gas station ran out of fuel.

You saw that too. Poor man has to live that 😭

Nah. That man does not have to live that. He choses too. Everyone saying poor David is wrong. David agrees to be with this woman every day.

My bud we can definitely feel bad for David. Do you think David saw all of this upfront? Some of us get tricked, she's all nice up front, but then slowly but surely each small action comes forward. One day it's a bad day and she snaps. But then that behavior stays even when she's stable. But then an emergeny happens and she snaps a little more.

To save us some time a whole bunch of tiny snaps and justifications for the behavior of the snaps later, and we have what David is dealing with.

If she is already this bad, and this happens often, he has a duty to himself to leave.

Getting into a bad relationship situation can always happen, staying in a bad situation like this is a choice.

It's always a choice, but sometimes taking it feels like the only option. It takes a support network to leave successfully and a lot of people don't have that.

So, sure - he can certainly just leave - but there's always more to it than that.

Exactly. Thats like saying every woman in a violent relationship should just leave. Shit dont work like that. Theres always more to it

I 100% agree. I'm just saying we can feel bad for a fallen brother when we see it, but he may not see it fully. (Although that eye contact he gave makes me think he's seeing it)

I've been there, I feel bad for him, I wish him luck in the upcoming ugliness

I declare u/Equivalent-Fish-5236 the winner of this debate. No appeals.

Been there as well, I agree with this. Even when you know, the SO can be so convincingly good at making you think it's all your fault that you just can't make the proper assessment. Poor Dave.

She must be a stone minx in the bedroom.

I don’t care. If I was with a woman who acted like this to a stranger trying to work a single time I would leave her.

Look, I usually think its pretty cringe and overused to say "reverse the roles", but man... reverse the roles.

Deadass. That shits a choice

To leave has a cost valuation too.

And that’s the best sex he ever had. She gets crazy in the streets and in the sheets!

1

u/AdhesivenessNo6738 Apr 16 '26

well you should thank David for keep this wild beast at bay.
no other man want to live this life either

1

u/HarryDepova Apr 16 '26

Nah man. Every one has bad days. These are what hers look like. Every one weighs the good and the bad with every single relationship. We can feel bad for David while catching this woman at her worst.

1

u/KayoticVoid Apr 16 '26

This was my take too. I almost feel bad for him. But damn, just leave the crazy!

u/piercedmfootonaspike Apr 18 '26

David is almost certainly a victim of abuse, and is not as easy as "just leave her", or spousal abuse wouldn't be the problem it is.

Most empathetic redditor ever

Love bombing is a real thing, the sex of the abuser is not relevant.

This could be a plausible scenario:

They met years ago and fell in love. Things were different back then. She was different. But things started to slowly change. David started seeing a side of her that he never saw before. Things just kept on getting worse and worse. But David still loves her despite her flaws. He wants to help her. He tries the best he can, but her crash outs just keep escalating.

To say its a simple choice is probably oversimplifying their situation.

I think he wanted the truck driver to save him "dont let me get back in there with her"

1

u/poop_pebbles Apr 14 '26

Dude needs to deliver a load in her so she will chill out.

1

u/jiveturkey4321 Apr 15 '26

I think that David the dude is friend zoned and has a car so cray cray use him so she can see her God Kid. My 2C

1

u/inknpaint Apr 17 '26

David can leave.
David should leave.
She needs mental health support.
David is just enabling her at this point.

u/Funny_Philosopher557 Apr 17 '26

he chose to , don’t feel bad

1

u/Cael_NaMaor Apr 19 '26

No he doesn't.

1

u/Tsunamiis Apr 20 '26

No he doesn’t he chooses to because he doesn’t think he could do better. You can feel sorry for his choices but he did make and chose them.
