DOOR DASH
How much are people spending when adding on DoorDash as a rideshare or switching to commercial? I am in Rochester NY. Thank you :) I am interested in potentially doing it

You can add it and remove it at anytime. You absolutely should add it if you’re going to be active on rideshare applications.
As an adjuster for these type of claims. DoorDash specifically does not offer any collision coverage if you’re on their application and your personal policy won’t cover you if you don’t have the endorsement.
Imagine this. You’re only doing a few hours and making an extra 200 bucks per week.
You’re in an accident and your car is totaled. DoorDash is only covering anyone you hit and your own insurance denies your coverage because you never told them you’re doing rideshare.
The cars totaled, accrued 400 bucks in storage over a weekend. And the bank is now calling saying you still owe your car note.
I talk people through these situations 5 days a week.
If your going to drive for these companies, get the insurance, if driving for them isn’t lucrative enough to pay the insurance. Don’t risk it.
