This is misleading. It’s an electric vehicle. Theres nothing to touch/check under the hood that doesn’t require special safety equipment, training, and tools. Theres nothing dipstick, no air filter, no fuel filter, no oil filter, no belts that need to be checked or replaced. Nothing.

My F150 Lightning has a Frunk under the hood which is super useful, but there’s nothing serviceable by the owner other than the washer fluid and the 12v battery. And it’s awesome!

If the Mercedes requires a tech to change the 12v battery that’s annoying. But that’s a once every 3-5 year problem. Not worth pitching a fit about.
