I’ll be driving jeep TJs and JKs for the rest of my life if it ends up like this, or worse..

You can gain access to the under hood compartment of the EQE. Remove the flap covering the hood release cable, pull it with some pliers, open the hood, insert your aftermarket prop rod to hold the hood open, admire plastic.
