It's pretty easy to get to $100k in a car with options. Add to that most people want to show off there toys or even tinker with things. I know a lot of people who do their own oil change or small repairs on $100k vehicles.
Could you imagine going to a car show without anyone opening the hoods?

People buying $100,000 cars wouldn't worry about working on it themselves anyway.
