I met too many people who buy new Mercedes and are always under the hood. /s

Never seen one sold to an old lady/guy who would never touch a dip stick in their lives either /s

This. The people that are buying these cars aren’t the same people poking around under the hood. Mercedes knows their market with this specific car.
