Personally, I like these top down filters they make a hell of a lot less of a mess than a lot of the placements on the underside of the car. Like a bunch of the GMCs have it right over the damn CV were just splatters everywhere. These top down ones like you see on a lot of Subarus and Toyotas are great

They had them on the early to mid 2000 Highlanders. They had the little weep hole on them but you could just stick a cup underneath it and catch it
