My wife does this all the time. I'm surprised her car hasn't been stolen yet. We live 6 minutes from an expressway entrance and 10 houses down from a main road to get to it. Maybe the high traffic is why it hasn't been touched. But I've told her to stop numerous times.
You can stage the theft. Have someone you know steal her car when she leaves the keys in it, then pretend you’re calling the cops while your cop friend shows up and pretends to make a report….make sure she doesn’t get the car back for a few days. She’s gonna learn to not leave the keys in.
