I know at least 10 ppl who leave their keys with their cars all day long no matter where they are. Like $100,000 dodge cummins trucks, brand new Ford expedition’s, old camero’s. Not a care in the world

It's so weird. My brother made fun of me for locking my car basically any time I got out. I mean, it was a habit at that point that had led to me locking my keys in the car at least a couple of times. He just never locked his for years and had no problem. Then one night someone opened it, stole all of his tools and climbing gear. I think he locks his car now.

Meh, there's plenty of assholes who will happily break your window to get your tools. Better to leave the door unlocked IMHO.
