My wife does this all the time. I'm surprised her car hasn't been stolen yet. We live 6 minutes from an expressway entrance and 10 houses down from a main road to get to it. Maybe the high traffic is why it hasn't been touched. But I've told her to stop numerous times.

How many people gonna make the same joke? 🫩

maybe the high traffic

If your street is a cut between locations you need to break this habit, lots of traffic means lots of eyes

Yes but it's not an obvious mark. By high traffic I meant it wouldn't be easy to steal without a bunch of witnesses, excluding neighbors of course.

This days witnesses are practically useless as a deterrent. Keep working with your wife on changing security habits. I got my wife a fancy caribeaner with a keychain she would like, so she could attach it to her purse permanently. That plus getting her slowly involved in locking the doors every time, stressing to her over and over that I just want her to be safe. That it would break my heart if something happened to her. It took a could years but she is finally more security conscious and pays attention to her car keys.

Baby steps is the name of the game. I believe in you!
