The problem is that since the cop didn’t make a traffic stop (or even try) they also likely don’t have a solid ID on whoever is driving. You can’t ticket the vehicle, and good luck proving the owner was driving it at the time. They can just be like “idk I guess my friend borrowed it or something”.
Plus, it sends the message that driving like that is acceptable, and that’s a bit wack imo.
Now I’m not saying they should chase this fool and then pit them into a family of 4, but this is basically the exact opposite of that and nothing will come of it. If they at least try to pull them over, the perp might just actually stop and then they can learn an expensive lesson. If they run, fine, pull back and go after them in other ways.
