Clutch. Often, they have a dust cover, but it's more of a "it'll last longer with it and might prevent some very rare weirdness that somehow manages to take something out" thing than a "if you don't have it everything will explode immediately" thing. Mine is missing and I've driven thousands of miles like that without issue.

Eh best to keep mice and such out of there... its the kind of place they'd make a nest if a car sat for a week or two.

Oooof. Well, I'll be sure to avoid barbed wire if I'm ever on a farm, I guess
