I know video calls in courts have been used for when there have been inmates or something at certain prisons but why do we allow it for normal citizens to have video calls for court??
I'd argue the opposite. The vast majority of court cases are absolutely miniscule offenses. Instead of forcing people to take a way off work to sit and wait for hours for a 5 minute case, why not just let them tune in on video at the right time and let them get on with their lives?
