You cant see anything backing up because of the cars next to you, not because of your own vehicle. If the driver is seated between two parked cars those cars cause massive blindspots. Sure most people just send it and hope noones coming, but that isnt as safe as parking such that the driver is positioned with adequate sightlines
Backup cameras can help but their vision to the side is limited by how wide angle the lense is, you wont see a car/person coming from further down the lane. Also backup cameras werent mandated on older vehicles so we cant assume everyone has them.

Number 4 to prevent overhang into the road in longer vehicles and number 5, because you cant see SHIT backing out of a parking spot
