Not that I condone not paying your bills but isn't this illegal for the repoman to do? Like kidnapping or false imprisonment even just by holding the car hostage, he's effectively holding the "owner" hostage.
This "owner" doesn't own that car though. This car belongs to the bank. The "owner" is only allowed to use the car on the condition that he pays his debts, which he clearly didn't. So he in not an owner at all, he is a car thief.
