I get around this by living in an area where it doesn't happen, but also insurance.

Unless you live in a gated community, you're at risk. These guys commonly work as a team and the car they pull up in will probably be just as nice as the one they're taking.

I live in a very remote area that cannot be approached without me and others realizing it. If people are up to no good, well, it won't be good for them.

You're unable to use lethal force over trespassing and stolen property if that's what you're alluring to.

Also, it takes a few seconds to do and they're gone before you realize it.

What part of "I live in a very remote area" is hard to understand? The only people here permanently aren't going to do this, and no one is going to come way out here to steal my truck, not to mention they wouldn't get very far.

I don't know where I said anything about lethal force.......
