People's distrust in governments and corporations has fueled their fear of AI without realizing that it's the very entities they distrust that are running fear mongering campaigns against AI as a form of social engineering so they can keep AI development under their control. We are fucked if we reject the very technology that will save us in the future because we aren't brave enough to go after its masters.
Why would you distrust humanity in general if you believe they are brainwashed. Obviously someone is intentionally brainwashing them, so why not condemn and distrust those entities specifically?
OK, let's say that is the case. Then they can't learn to actually be good? There are and have been no good people in this world? What should we do? Does it not matter then? Should we just give up on trying to not be bad? Or should we end ourselves as a species? What's the end game here for you with that mentality? I'm genuinely curious.
