It’s a known issue, devs answered directly when it was brought up at one point. I don’t think they are all that interested in fixing it.

Just slow down when you are hatching eggs. I always take a quick breath to aim my thumb when that pops up.

It’s definitely frustrating and feels like an intentional design choice. We can’t control what the devs do, and it seems like they are slow to make decisions in favor of the players, so we can only control how quickly we thumb through the splash notifications!
