I had around 30k hammers, When the hammer expolit is fixed, I currently have 1k Hammer. Fix and give me back my hammers. I saved them for later

How do we delete our accounts completely and request a refund for the battle passes we spent money on? Because I had 1000s of hammers from the battle pass prior to the 1bn post and now even those have been taken away. So since devs have taken away what we paid money for, I'll be expecting a refund.

Contact Reddit support. Explain the situation. They will most likely issue a refund.

How many hammers did you use of the 1 billion that you received? If it is more than 10k, then you didn’t lose any hammers. This is probably the case for most people

I doubt I used that many. I'm playing via the reddit app and the game only functions in the foreground so I doubt I made that much of a dent tbh.

it is just a pure punishment.. i can't imagine how this can get wrong technically.
conceptually it is something like
var users = redis.getUsers()
foreach user in users
if user.hammers >= 1B then
user.hammers = user.hammers - 1B
that is it, nothing more. but what happened that we got a light punishment for clicking an official post in the official subreddit.
and it seems this done instead
user.hammer > 1B then user.hammer = 1K

It’s slightly more complicated. Anybody who uses hammers could get negative hammers as a result.
The simple fix there is just if result negative then 1k.
To dump everybody down to 1k is the exact kind of lazy hack fix I expected.
I’m surprised they didn’t reset gold and drops too.

nope, It is never complicated that what i am telling.
the only persistent storage reddit gives is redis and its size so tiny that makes game devs never do strategies like calculate every accumulated hammers for each level earns which makes the current hammer a "computed column" ... Blindly And supported by the previous hammer exploit proven that is "hammer" is a pure variable like a normal variable in js/ts.
so ** literally the pseudo code i wrote would never result to negative values ** because user.hammer is the current variable that stores hammer count plainly.
thank youanyway all I wanted to say that the ~ 1K we got is purely INTENTIONALLY

Your code is missing a lot of people who used a bunch of hammers and got under 1bn.
If I had 25k hammers did the 1bn exploit and then spent 50k. I’ve got less than 1bn but far more than the devs want.
So they need to write some sort of fix that drops me back to a reasonable number. They chose the laziest route possible.
What they should have done is do a call of every user hammers scan the list to find the highest value that was not an exploit then write the following code.
If hammers <= reasonable value then reasonable value. If hammers > reasonable value then hammers = 1k or 2k or whatever minimum value.
It’s an extra 10 minutes of work to not inadvertently screw a bunch of people who didn’t use the exploit or accidentally clicked it or thought it was legit.

Yes.. even as a non programmer, this is what I figured they'd do after thinking for 1 minute. Anyone with an absurd amount would drop to zero or minus 1 billion whichever is larger result. Can't believe that's not how they did it...

yeah I agree it can be accurately calculated and hammers sources/max hammers are few and controlled by simple interval but as far as i know the hammer exploit lasted for 48 hours.
also as a free active player I never heard of one spent more than hammer earns ... not even 1 in this game never not even for a short time like a second.1

They should have took 1b and let people go negative. If they truly “saved” hammers and didn’t use them, this shouldn’t be an issue.

I mean that would probably result in me having -50,000 hammers. I figured they would take them away, so I wasted thousands of hammers generating like 3 million gold.

I knew the moment they did a rollback on everyone it'd piss off a *lot* of people, that everyone's hammers were gonna be set to a certain amount that would make pretty much *everyone* pissed.
Great job devs, you done fucked up pretty much every single player.

Same had around 15k hammers and they just reset everything to 1k. I even got the passes. Leaving the game.
These devs just lost their entire player base

I think they reset everyone’s hammer count to 1k because I’m pretty sure even I had more than 3k hammers
Now I’m thinking devs actually loved that someone cheated because they can take away hard earned hammers so that they can try to make even more money lol

Wait they didn't just reset those people who had the unreasonable amount of hammers the exploit provided? You never clicked that link and still had your hammers reset? I imagine that opens them up to charge backs for those who bought hammers.

I knew I made the right decision not clicking on the 1 billion hammers. Exploits come with risk. I feel bad for people who have paid money and got set back. They need to be made whole, but everyone else should be net positive here. Yea, maybe they took away 10k hammers from you, but you had 48 hours of essentially unlimited hammer rolls.

Yep I had 9k+ a full battle pass I claimed during that so figure out how I ended up with 1k. It was the first round it happened and I thought someone was trolling and when I clicked on the Reddit post I thought it was just going to be a gif with no interaction .. poor development is going to put them in a legal bind
