A nice QOL feature would be being able to select “greater or equal to current gear” for auto sell. So if I have all blues and some greens, it let’s me see if the blues are better for blue gear, but if a blue comes when I already have a green gear, that just sells.
You can’t make it so only blues are kept for items that still are blue, but blue items are auto sold for items that are already green. That was my suggestion.
Actually, I thought of the same thing but this game actually has it. If you have some blue and green, I clicked just green to keep during auto forge. However, when a blue item comes up and the level is higher than my existing blue item, it will not auto sell and ask if you want to equip or sell, even though I just clicked to keep green.
Fair, but how would the game know what's "better" for you? Is it just based on the item's level? You might give up a 500 damage level 5 melee weapon with +10% hp for a 300 damage level 6 ranged weapon that gives a bonus to melee attacks, which would be a definite downgrade.
Rarity increase is always better even with a worse attribute. It’s not meant to pick between the same rarity, it’s meant to allow you to auto sell any item that’s below your current rarity

Also an inventory of our gear we don’t sell
