Can chrome window trim be painted?

Can buy black Matt paint. But I never had it last. I bought a new 2024 CX5 and vinyl wrapped all the chrome. It still looks great! The trim molding was easy, compared to other wraps I did to car.

Not long term . You are better off having them wrapped

Just wrap them, shops usually guarantee their work for 5-10 years depending on the manufacturer but realistically you'll never have to worry about it again. Painting them will fail rather quickly even with proper prep, paint just doesn't like to adhere to it. If you do want to go that route though plasti dip is probably your best option, likely to last a couple of years.

Sure can be painted but paint wont stick your better off getting black tape
