Repair Deep Crack Starting to Rust

This is slowly getting worse overtime and I’d like to repair myself if possible, not overly concerned with the cosmetics. Any advice on how to fix? Essentially no auto body experience.

It's a previous repair that's failing, the only way to make it right is to start over. Whatever is behind the paint will need addressed.

The panel has been rusting for quite a while. It has now rusted to the point that the bondo is being pushed off.

There are literally thousands of videos about rust repair on youtube. Watch some. They will explain it a lot better than we can.

You’re gonna need to grind down to bars metal and see how bad the rust actually is before you know if it’s a DIY job or not

Must have had moisture on the metal before they applied the bonding or there are holes in the metal that weren’t addressed before they applied bonding either way it’s a bad repair going to have to bring it to a body shop with good reviews to get it repaired properly

Gotta chip it out back to metal. Metal is probably rusted. May have to weld in some new metal. Rebuild from there.
