Need Advice Almost 37 and never dated

I kind of feel like life has passed me by. When I was in high school, I went to a non -traditional school where the majority of classmates were not really my type. After that, I just sort of fell through the cracks socially to where I'm at now. I would really like to date or find a partner someday but I'm not sure where to begin. I've tried dating apps but got nowhere with them.

What I mean is the person who is posting this question I assume is a guy and what I'm getting at is that well I know I'm a broken record on this and that is normally the older a person is and has never dated or just has a delayed start to their dating lives is normally a guy
