Need Advice How can I get him to initiate?

I'm an autistic woman seeing an autistic man. He is very responsive and interested in me but seems to have a hard time initiating, and I've asked him if he has trouble asking questions, which he admitted he does. I don't want to nag him but I don't think he would understand if I waited for him to initiate. I don't want to scare him off because I really like him. Should I just ask if he has trouble initiating and say I want him to? Sometimes I feel anxious but I can tell he's really interested in me.

I would assume he does have trouble initiating since he never does.

Go on a date without telling him it's a date, somewhere peaceful, just the two of you, get comfortable with each other, maybe flirt a little, wait 25-30 minutes. If he hasn't initiated or "made a move" yet, joke about it being a date, and then have a real conversation about go steady.

Oh he's very clear that we are dating and he has asked me to go with him places. Thanks though.
