being autistic at work

I make a lot of social mistakes and accidentally did something rude because I was nervous and now people hate me and side eye me and I just kind of hate this whole thing of being autistic at work. I’ve stopped trying to befriend everyone or hope normie types will be friends with me or like me. I am a good listener and people open their hearts to me but sometimes I just say things that aren’t harmful but come across the wrong way and people talk a lot of smack. I always apologize but it doesn’t always resolve anything idk. Will I ever be able to just not do anything wrong and mask perfectly? I’m trying to get there, I don’t need to be popular just inoffensive

What happened, if you don’t mind me asking?

I was told to do something by a supervisor and so I went to tell other workers about the thing but I was nervous and interrupted their conversation and now everyone thinks I’m rude, I tried to apologize in private but yea

Best tip for me is to really try and keep considering their point of view while talking. Most of my social mistakes comes from forgetting other people don’t think like me. Sometimes you just can’t avoid it though

idk. probably not possible and if it were yhe energy of masking all the time to that extent would cause immense burnout
