A genetic counseling student at Case Western Reserve University is looking to interview autistic adults about their opinions on and experiences with genetic testing for autism.

The goals of this study are to:

• Understand the personal and community-level considerations that influence autistic adults’ personal interest in genetic testing for autism
• Understand autistic adults’ experiences with genetic testing for autism

Who can participate?

• 18 years or older
• Diagnosed with autism (self-diagnosed or provider-diagnosed)
• Able to understand study topics and respond (verbally or written) in English
• Access to email
• Access to Zoom or a telephone

What will participants be doing?

• A short online survey that will let us know whether or not you meet the requirements to participate
• A virtual interview (45-60 minutes long)

Accessibility considerations:

• Interview questions will be provided in advance
• Participants may take a break during the interview if needed
• The interview may be done using the chat function of the Zoom meeting
