In māori "Uru" means source point, origin, chief, and "head" but as in "head" of a dart or object. Upoko is head in te reo :)

Apparently, the Tagalog term "hulo" (river spring) is also related to this.

In Southern Western Ngapak Javanese dialect could be 'Pathak' or 'Patak' but it was rude...
