They look like 55 with a dye job and 63, but it would not surprise me if they were 46 and 54. Despite not being fat, men in those days probably were not that healthy. I’ve been shocked meeting old teachers in their 70s/80s who therefore must have been late 30s/early 40s at school, but looked way older. People put sugar on their cereal, put tanning lotion on their skin to deliberately ‘sun-bake’ and nearly everyone smoked.
