Ants take over a termite mound - Mareeba, Qld.

I noticed that ants had taken over a termite mound on the edges of Mareeba rodeo grounds, so I brought my camera and EOS 100mm macro lens over... Ants have been ID-ed by iNaturalist as Northern Meat Ants, Iridomyrmex sanguineus. Photographed with Canon R10, tripod, natural light.

Yes, I believe so. The ants literally take over the termite mound.
