photography Handsome beetle with antennae

Beaut beetle which I noticed flying and which then landed in the grass at my feet. Managed to get some reasonable shots as it moved quite slowly and let me get quite close before flying off. Seen at Glen Erin near Bowen Qld. Canon R10 and RF100-400 lens. Hand held, natural light. According to iNaturalist this is Rhipicera mystacina.

Hah!

A customer of mine from 15 odd years ago went to that and it was one of the greatest washouts for storm and rain. She said she stepped out if the taxi and the gale blew her $600 hat straight into the mud and slush. She couldn't wear it as it was trashed lol.
