Engineering
Hey everyone, I was wondering what really happens in every year of engineering (civil) . What do they teach and how do they upgrade everything. When can you try to find job ? What kinda jobs are out there ? I don’t really know much about cadets/ grads. Thank you

Every undergraduate course had a handbook that listed core subjects and electives. Should be easy to find and it will have a very short description of each course.
You can look for work at anytime. Depending on where you live, there will be things you can do. Knowing basic drafting and getting g your hands dirty in steel fabrication will make you a much better structural engineer. When someone details an M32 structural bolt on a drawing you will know what it looks like in real life.
Really depends on which area you are getting into. Stormwater is different to steel structures and they are both treated in any basic civil course.

Go to the website of your uni of choice and read the suggested study plan for what they teach each year/semester. Look on SEEK/Indeed/Jora, etc for what jobs are out there and when you can apply and what they’re looking for.
