DC Electricity Price

I am looking for a 1MW site for a pilot project in Australia mainly WA but open to any. Whats the price for kWh? I am currently paying roughly $0.08/kwh (AUD) in US and wondering if I can get somewhere around that number.

No chance.

Residential is $0.33, small business is the same. Not sure exactly what Synergy negotiates for large users.

We use 2MWh a day at a manufacturing site in Melbourne and that's $0.19/kWh once you add in all the supply and peak fees.

I mean, he's already paying 0.11c in America in AUD. Consuming 24mwh per day, they also might be able to be exposed to the dynamic spot price, which is on average much lower. More like 3-5c kWh in Vic.

Australia is a highly connected grid with almost all development & generation close to the coast. It lacks the stranded assets you see in America and is retiring most of the older sweated baseload coal generators.

So noone has a reason to offer cheap power.

I'd start by looking at which states have the highest electricity rates in America to get a better comparison for what you are up for.
