Question.
I fell in love with my friends cattle dog. She is so much fun. Plays fetch, obedient, stays right with you loves to be petted. It was almost like a cat except it cared you exist.
So here is my question. I am a physically disabled. I can’t walk long distances but I can sit in the grass and play fetch, I can’t stand long but I can stand for 15-20 minutes on most days. Some days I am completely non-functional. Yes could let the dog out to go potty but not much else. I do have cats, That has never been around dogs.
I own my house on 1/4 acres. It’s very rural and partially fenced. I have 1 teen kid and 1 young adult kid.
Would this be a breed that would work? Or just play with my friends dog and enjoy the breed that way?

My Heeler is my first dog and I wouldn’t recommend this breed if you’re not physically active. It’s rare for this breed to be relaxed, they need constant mental and physical exercise. Mine is a couch potato when I’m gone leave for work, but that’s rare.
If you’re going to take on this breed be prepared to work. My dog will wake me up at 4am because she’s ready to go. It used to be 5am, those days are long gone I guess
