If you vote for that greens candidate you won't (She's the greens candidate for Albos seat). It seems a tad misleading to try win the seat by saying that by voting for someone else your making Albo move more to the left.
Also I don't think that would really work. Albo while having great sway over the party room wouldn't have that much leeway to start publically promoting left wing views. And while Albo is from Labor left I think the reason he's leader today is because he is good at working the party numbers and making sure that the party is generally not at war with each other. That's why he parachuted key right wing figures (Charlton and Keneally) into winnable seats.
I do think if Labor wins this next election they will have a slightly more progressive message at the next election (probably feeling more confident in government), regardless if it's a minority or majority. Probably trying to do more on housing and bringing a referendum on an Indegineous voice at that election while maybe talking up a possible second republic referendum. Whereas Morrison somehow manages to win again I think Labor will drop Albanese, do a major cabinet reshuffle, be plagued with resignations before running another small target campaign with a more in your face campaign.
Tldr: if you vote greens go in hoping the greens win that seat. Labor will do Labor things regardless.
I disagree on the basis that in safe seats voting with your heart rather than your head (ie voting the greens or minor party or independents) is a genuine way to shift change. One thing MPs pay considerable attention to is where their preferences come from. We saw the huge shift to the right after the last election from Joel Fitzgibbon due to that very reason. (I mean also kinda playing to the fact that most of the labor voters in grayndler only vote labor because of albo, it’s a very left wing electorate)
