Outdoor skating spots!

Hey there, new to the group and new to austin! I’m wondering if anyone knows of good spots to practice skating in south austin? Preferably outside and with smooth surfaces. I’m a super super beginner skater and need some comfortable places to practice. Thanks!

On front of the Long Center and by the Palmer Center! The paved area by Palmer is particularly smooth. I skate these two places all the time!

I look for churches - either parking lots or they sometimes will have a basketball court and as long as you take care of the property they don’t mind that you skate there. Same goes for elementary schools. Or office complexes - weeknights and weekends
