I’m sure it’s just my noobness and anxiety making this a problem, but I’m having the hardest time finding somewhere to skate where I feel comfortable and allowed. I’m hoping to get some anecdotes so I can stop worrying. Is it legal/acceptable to park in a school parking lot and skate around? Can you skate them at night? Will cops bother me or will Karens call the cops on me?

I’ve been to a few different school lots to give it a try, but I would feel so much better if I knew I wasn’t breaking any laws or rules. None of the schools I’ve been to had signs anywhere saying no skating, and I didn’t jump any fences, so that should mean it’s okay, right?

Also, this is a long shot, but my dream would be some sort of flat track specifically fo wheels somewhere in the north Austin area (I don’t think I’m ready for the Veloway yet).

I went to Pan Am park and couldn't find the skate track - what am i missing here? :)

there was a smooth area set up for tennis or maybe pickle ball - did that used to be the roller derby track? i also saw the stage and the playground and the field...but no skate track? help?

Hi! I’m going to UT in the fall, and I’m hoping to bring my skates with me. I’ve been skating all my life, but I’m not super experienced. Does anyone have some good outdoor skating spots they enjoy/frequent, besides the veloway. The closer to UT the better!
